THERAPY? POSTPONED
Due to unforeseen logistical problems, we are having to postpone the THERAPY? concert on July 2nd. But do not despair, we will be re-scheduling the show for later in the Autumn. All ticket purchasers, will be re-funded in due course and we will, of course, post all the information as soon as we have it for the re-scheduled THERAPY? show (yes folks, it’s still happening). We do hope this doesn’t cause too much inconvenience and apologize for the late notice.

The Gypsy Camp will still have it’s grand opening on July 2nd featuring Latvian heavy rockers extraordinaire SANCTIMONY. Entrance is FREE for all to attend. Therefore we are very happy to invite you all to come to the opening concert of the series #8weeksofmusic, where we will be warming up the Gypsy Camp stage. This will also be the main stage during @FontaineFestival ‘2016.

SANCTIMONY (lv – heavy rock)

Free entrance – doors 21:00, onstage 22:00

Grupa Sanctimony dibināta 1994.gadā un spēlē smagās mūzikas stilā, ko dēvē par „death’n’roll”. Aktīvi koncertējot, grupa ar savu enerģisko uzstāšanās stilu ātri iemanto spēcīgas „death metal” vienības slavu. 1996.gadā grupa izdod pirmo demo ierakstu “When The Sun Was God”, un 2000.gadā – pirmo pilnmetrāžas albumu “Eternal Suffering”.

Kopš 1999.gada grupas sastāvā ir Jānis Boļšaks (balss), Viesturs Grīnbergs un Jānis Aizkalns (ģitāra), Deniss Denisenko (basģitāra), Kārlis Jakubonis (bungas). 2002.gadā grupa pieņem lēmumu mainīt spēlēšanas stilu pašu iemīļotās “smagās rokmūzikas” virzienā, tomēr, pilnībā
neatsakoties no “death metal” saknēm. 2005.gadā grupa izdod pirmo šī žanra albumu “Devil and Men”, ko pārstāv dziesmas “Sounds” videoklips. 2007.gadā iznāk albums “Hell in Stereo”, kam seko ilgstoša koncerttūre Baltijas valstīs un Somijā.

SANCTIMONY is one of the most highly anticipated heavy metal acts in the Baltic States. Formed in 1994 in Riga, Latvia, the band has released three albums in the death metal genre – When The Sun Was God (1996), Eternal Suffering (1999) and Lirix EP (2001). In 2002, the band – then Jānis Boļšaks (vocals), Viesturs Grīnbergs & Jānis Aizkalns (guitars), Deniss Denisenko (bass) and Kārlis Jakubonis (drums) – decided to combine their death metal roots with their love of rock n’ roll and started to play in a genre they call death n’ roll. The band released 2 albums with this line-up – Devil & Men (2005) and Hell in Stereo (2007), meanwhile playing shows all across the Baltic States, touring in Finland with Finnish bands Profane Omen and Burden A.D., and warming up for some world class acts such as Whitesnake, Judas Priest, Zakk Wylde & Black Label Society, Mustasch (SWE) and many others. Around 2009, a new line-up was formed with Jēkabs Zemzaris on drums and Pauls Ruško on guitars. In 2011, the band recorded a collection of 3 new songs and 2 covers and released it as Perfection EP (2011).

In April 2016, Sanctimony released their latest album “UNHOLY FIVE” (Thunderforge Records) – a collection of 10 hard-hitting songs almost 9 years in the making – including the singles “Freefall” and “Loud” – the definite musical highlight in Sanctimony’s 22-year long history of death n’roll madness. The band is planning to tour throughout 2016 to promote the new album all across the Baltics.
